Banco Nacional de Bolivia
Banking software work across mobile apps, release processes, and architecture.
Founded in 1871, the Banco Nacional de Bolivia (BNB) is among the oldest and most respected financial institutions in the country. As Bolivia’s second-largest bank by assets, BNB provides a full spectrum of banking services-from personal and corporate accounts to mortgages, credit cards, and investment products-delivered across all nine departments through an extensive network of branches and ATMs. The bank is part of BNB Corporacion, which includes affiliated entities such as BNB SAFI, BNB Valores, and BNB Leasing, giving it a unique presence in investment, securities, and leasing markets.
Contributions
Initial work focused on the bank’s flagship customer-facing iOS app, managing the entire lifecycle from development through release. Responsibilities included introducing a structured Git workflow-previously absent-to improve collaboration and code quality. Additional contributions included training a teammate transitioning from Android development to assist on the iOS side. Later, as Software Architect, oversight expanded to all mobile initiatives, including both iOS and Android apps, while also working closely with backend teams to define the web services required for mobile features.
